Props to Nate Mink. That was a good interview filled with a lot of interesting discussion.

To be fair, the circumstances are different. Weak Big East with little TV money versus the murderers row division of the ACC with way more TV money. This beats TGD’s strategy of going down the top 25 rankings and calling team by team until someone says yes.
Best bit in there, from a novelty standpoint: UCLA and Arizona State called us trying to set up games. UCLA called twice.Props to Nate Mink. That was a good interview filled with a lot of interesting discussion.
It was two years later, why wouldn't you think you could be competitive?Frazier and Shafer really thought after squeaking into the Texas Bowl they would be competitive with LSU? Nah.
Good article. Good to see the future schedule get easier from a non-conference perspective.

we have scheduling under control and fortunately (or unfortunately) that excuse will be removed from our list of excuses after bad seasons. if we don't go bowling, it's an indictment on the coaching vs the insane scheduling of yesteryear. I have no aspirations of winning the ACC division we're in but we should be able to squeeze out 2-3 wins per season

If you're a coach coming off a 7-6 1st season and you're unsure you'll be competitive against a top-25 team in 2 years... how do I say this politely...

Dino does. Not this year or next, but 4-6 years from now with the right talent for the scheme... why not?I have no aspirations of winning the ACC division we're in
