...very much this Saturday, but it stands as my favorite march of all time - and I love marches.

It was written by Alfred Newman, (whose name MAD magazine later borrowed), the head of the music department at 20th Century Fox for the 1948 Tyrone Power film "Conquest" and is meant to depict the conquest of Mexico by Cortez. I actually prefer the slower-paced version John Williams does here:

By the way, Troy never conquered anybody. They got conquered by the Greeks, who went on to found Syracuse, Sicily. Here is the music I hope to heard over and over again Saturday:
