I love that JB fouls up 3

I agree but not to sure about doing it that far from the basket with 4 hands in the guys face. Would have been a 35 footer.
Agree, good strategy, but poor execution. It could have been done a few ticks of the clock later & virtually ended the game right there.

I didn't mind the quicker foul. Never gave the shooter time to measure up.

That was a no brainer. Thats the play

Although it is easy to say that after the fact. For Ennis (I think it was him) to execute that in the closing seconds like that with no time to think was especially clutch.

I thought the same way as you initially but then also realized that if there were 2 guys (possibly 3) surrounding the ball and if he had been able to dish it (big if) that there would then be some open players spotting up around the 3 pt line open. So I'm good playing the percentages even if guy is that far away from hoop.

I could be wrong but I felt he was getting ready to chuck it up from there.

Lemar would have hit. He made a 35 footer when he made his 3 three pointers to get Pitt back in the game. I thought it was a great call by JB to put him on the line and limit him to 2. His desperation off the rim rebound is practically impossible to do.

At this point it is becoming clear Ennis may not be a warm blooded animal!

I've always been a fan of fouling too but one of Pomeroy's blog posts last year made me think it's a lot closer than I had originally thought. Basically he tried to tally up all the situations and figure out the %'s...
One reason why we can all easier remember instances of a team not fouling & losing is because most coaches don't foul. If more of them did then there would be more instances of the fouling team giving up the lead.
