I am trying to determine it myself.
I am hoping that it would knock us up or down a line and the committee wouldn’t bracket us with Virginia or North Carolina but I don’t know.

Virginia is a lock for a 1 seed.
I think North Carolina is a 1 seed.
Kentucky/LSU/Tennessee/Michigan State are competing for a 1 seed.
Then Gonzaga has the 4th 1 seed that Duke can steal by winning the ACCT.

I think it will be UVA, winner of UNC/Duke, Gonzaga, winner of UK/Tennessee assuming they win the SEC. I don’t think UNC has a shot if they lose tonight. Duke might if the committee takes into account all the injuries then maybe they replace Gonzaga.

1’s will be Virginia, Gonzaga, unc/duke winner, uk if they win sec. Duke/unc loser will be a 2 with uk in the south region. If we are a 8 or 9, we will be in the west with Gonzaga or south with uk and Duke/unc loser.

North Carolina had the toughest nonconference schedule in the country.
They played a lot of games away from home.

Kentucky
On neutral floors
At Michigan
At Wofford
Gonzaga at home
10-3 in these games
They went 16-2 in the ACC.
9-0 in ACC road games.

I think they are a 1 seed even if they lose tonight.

I think it would increase our chances of that quite a bit. While the ncaa can put us against UNC or UVA they would really try not to... and it’s not like there are 11 ACC teams getting in which causes problems.
Per the NCAA rules the committee can move teams up or down 1 spot to assist with this. They try to avoid doing that with seeds 1-4 but after that they move teams up and down all the time.

At best nc state is an 11 seed. Their non conf sos is 352.

Dig a little deeper and UNC's resume is not as good as it looks. Their two wins against Duke were without Zion. That's huge. On the road they didn't have to play some of the better ACC teams such as UVA, FSU or SU. They lost three of their tough OOC games but did beat Zaga at Chapel Hill. . I think they're a solid #2 seed but if they lose tonight it just kinda proves that the Duke wins were a bit fugazy. Let's face it, Duke is not anywhere near the same team without Zion. If they do win tonight then they deserve the #1 seed.

we are 8 or 9
nc state and clemson are bubbling , i think 1 gets in probably nc state dayton
