I'm in a show hole, need suggestions

Started watching On Call (Amazon, cop show based in Long Beach, CA). Not bad.

Rewatching Severance in preparation for season two, and Succession just for the heck of it. Both are better the second time, maybe just because of the pace of not needing to wait a week for a new episode...

And Gilmore Girls, on the iPad while i play Super Mega Baseball 4... Forgot how big of a crush i had on Lauren Graham. What a dish. Hubba hubba. Aaaah-OOOO-gaahhh.

Just finished Skeleton Crew. If you love Star Wars it’s great, even though it’s completely out of the norm. It’s like a Star Wars version of a goonies/stranger Things type adventure. A good show especially after the garbage that was Acolyte.

Is this not a kids show? Like, for kids? I canceled my Disney after/because of Acolyte and Ahsoka. Didnt realize Skeleton Crew was on already but it didn’t look like my kind of thing. I will go back when Andor 2 is on.

It is for everyone in my opinion. I thought it was great. It’s a kids Star Wars adventure in a Star Wars flavor for sure. The kids are great, Law is good as well.
If you’re looking for Luke or Vader or Yoda, you will not find them. They are four normal kids in the Star Wars universe that end up in the thick of it. Personally I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Just saw that Netflix is hiking prices again. The ad-supported tier is increasing from $6.99 to $7.99 per month, while the standard ad-free tier will go from $15.49 to $17.99 per month. The 4K tier is also increasing from $22.99 to $24.99 per month. Increases go into effect next billing cycle.

Their stock price is at an all-time high, driven by strong numbers for the NFL Christmas games (which they'll have again next year), the Tyson-Paul fight and WWE Raw. They also secured the US rights for the next two Women's World Cups and appear to have their eye on UFC. Going after a la carte big events rather than regular season rights seems to be paying off.

That being said, I don't watch very much so will probably cancel. $18 for maybe two movies/shows a month isn't worth it to me.

Interesting to see they are starting to not drop the full series of select shows all at once now; Squid Game 2 and One Hundred Years of Solitude being 2 examples. Price increases will go into effect before the “second half” of those shows are released.

Just watched 'The Watcher' based on true events. I think it was 2 true crime stories combined. 6 or 7 episodes good quick binge.

I beep letting silo season two build and get all episodes out. In the mean time still going through LOST couple episodes into season 4.
I just started watching it maybe 2 weeks ago just started season 3. It has its ups and downs but ill definitely finish it.
Some directions it takes you on are really not my thing but i still wanna see it through.
I think I remember hearing the ending was very disappointing, Not sure what it could be thats so disappointing other than someone dreaming...?
Ssshhhhh

Watched the documentary Enormous: The Gorge Story over the weekend. Pretty interesting, and looks like a fun place to see a show. Curious if any of our PNW posters have seen shows there. SeattleCuse cuseattle cuseinseattle
Wow! I didnt know about that doc! I went there in 1998?for the beginning of a phish tour. Knew nothing about it before. Was 2 or 3 nights with camping. Was amazing experience. Im gonna watch that asap
Thanks.

Drove from Syracuse to George, WA where the gorge is...? going off of shaky memory. Festival stops along the way. We left 3 weeks before the shows at the Gorge, went to 5 or so festivals and camped in Montana for at least 10 days.
Made our way to the Gorge and set up our camp. Maybe 20-30k people there.
Once you left the camping, walked towards the stage and made it to the peak...a couple peaks if ya know what i mean...and looked down onto the lawn and stage area was quite the surprise. Its like the Grand Canyon with a gradual slope where the stage is almost to the bottom. Huge Canyon cliffs as far as the eye can see, amazing sunset. Some boats in the river but not many.
Unmatched scenery for an amphitheater. Amazing for sound! I also was impressed first time at the Lakeview!

But no comparison.

We were surprised with the desert like conditions there while camping. Super dry, hot and looked desert like.
So when we finally left we hit the road to the coast to jump into the ocean on our way to mountainview in CA for next show. We blindly arrived in Cannon Beach, OR. Immediately realized that was where the Goonies was filmed based on the huge rocks. Huge signs everywhere warning us of no swimming, dates listed of recent drownings.
I was young, dumb and wasted so i went in but carefully. I gained a huge appreciation that day of the power of the oceans.
Went home about 6 weeks later after the tour and a very interesting stay at a commune in TN.

Just blew right thru American Primeval on Netflix. Western set in Utah with the Tim Riggins actor from Friday Night Lights playing a very similiar character. Good watch, wish it was a longer run as they run thru ALOT of characters that could've used more development.

I watched Lockerbie: A Search for Truth on Peacock and liked it. It was mainly about a father of one of the victims following along the Scottish/American government investigations and realizing how flawed they were. Colin Firth is solid as usual. It’s only five episodes so not much to commit to. The SU students killed did get a brief mention.

There is also a documentary that came up in the “You May Also Like” section called After The Sky Fell on Lockerbie that was done by a Cuse graduate. I haven’t finished it yet but it has some interesting and heartbreaking stories of some of the students.

It also looks like there is another limited series about Lockerbie/Pam Am 103 coming out on Netflix at some point.

I've been watching The Pitt. Noah Wyle returns as an ER doctor. It's a typical ER type series, with an odd twist: It looks like the show will follow the format used in the show "24." The pilot covered 8 am to 9 am; episode two, 9 am to 10 am, and so on.

I like the series so far, but I don't get how the format will be sustainable. Very little opportunity for character development.

I'vw heard re: the character development it's an extremely violent show and a lot of it seems gratuitous due to the lack of character development.

Also apparently it's historical accuracy is supposedly quite abysmal.

Really well done show. Id be shocked if there isnt a 2nd season etc...
Goîng off memory~¿ produced by same people that did The Revenent with Leonardo. Similar vibe.
Just read that its actually a sequel of sorts to The Revenent. Some of the same characters.
Riggins *Taylor Kitsch has actually been quite an impressive actor. Was great in the Waco series.

The Agency is pretty solid

The Franchise is like watching the making of a DC movie

The Bookie season 2. If you liked the first season its about the same.

The PBS shows are coming back soon if you like that type of show

Lidia Poet. Season 2. Now that I watch it I realized who the girl in Citadel Diani is.

The Bookie on HBO.

The scene with a character on 'shrooms reliving his time as a fetus still has me cracking up.

The Recruit vs the Agent on Netflix. One a little more about the conspiracy. One a little more about the dumb stuff the kid gets into.

I enjoyed both again.

I feel like Severance should have its own thread.

Such a beautifully shot series. I really like it, but not at the level of GoT or House of the Dragon. And for that reason, i probably don't pay close enough attention, but i just found a youtube channel that recaps and breaks episodes down, and looks for all the obscure symbolism and references and whatnot, and i realize i'm missing a lot.

There are some LOST references, and i just hope they don't stretch this out with meaningless filler and then finish with something that doesn't really satisfy.

I'm on season 3 of Continuum.
Standard TV Sci-fi fare with a standard Canadian Sci-fi cast.
That said, the themes are relatively topical. I picked it out specifically for some light watching every few days but am surprised to find myself ripping through a couple every day.

Wish I had waited to stream all of Severance at once.

I actually started LOST a couple months ago and cruised right through it until S5 ep4 or so and its been a chore to get through even 1 episode since.
I watched the first say 60 episodes in a month and the last 6 episodes in a month.
Everytime that Linus dude talks its like hes possessed and trying to hypnotize everyone. Who knows maybe he is?
I was having a conversation with people about who on LOST would you want to be stranded on an island with? I was blank. Juliet? Maybe Jin ànd Sun? Danielle would be good to have around.
