Averaging one loss starter for the year per game is not sustainable for this program.
Yes. May have to miss first half vs WagnerI don't think Barron was injured , i think he was disqualified for targeting
clark was able to return to the game so maybe ankle sprain?Simmons and Kevon Darton were in boots.
also Alijah Clarke got hurt
Darton in boot too?Simmons and Kevon Darton were in boots.
also Alijah Clarke got hurt
I thought they got rid of that rule?Yes. May have to miss first half vs Wagner
So many questions
1. Do we know why sparrow played over McDonald? Sparrow’s stat line was tremendous.
2. Was Darton hurt too? I knew about Lockett and Clark.
3. Any confirmation on whether Barron has to sit a half for the targeting? I know it’s Wagner but I’m curious whether the targeting penalty changed or not.
The change in the targeting rule is now that post-game the conference/team can appeal the targeting call so the player does not have to sit the first half of the following game. Not sure if its happened yet or not.So many questions

Just in case you may not have seen it. An Oregon player was ejected for targeting with exactly the same play as Barron. Crown of the helmet to the chest, no contact to the head. The announcers noted that they were told at the beginning of the season that this was a hit the officials were going to be looking for to get eliminated as it is so dangerous to player lowering his head.
Yes, exactly the danger is to tackler lowering their head creating potential for head, neck, and back injuries to themselves. It's honestly a good thing. IIRC it's to protect the tackler not the ball handler.
and yet the play on the kick off where the Virg kid dove head first like a missile was not called targeting
That guy is lucky he didn't paralyze himself with that hit. You can see on the replay how his neck compressed.Yep that’s what I can’t rap my head around, I thought that was the worst of the three.
Wouldn’t these non-hits to the head like Barrons and Pena’s be called spearing then. Did they just rename the old rule? Peña was definitely spearing.

I’m guessing we may find out more on Wednesday’s podcast.JCarter didn’t dress for the second half
