It’s year 4 for Dino we should have better talent at LB

Dino has brought in talent at DE/DT and CB/S.
I hope Christopher Frederick gets more PT next week and going forward.
He was a solid CB the last few years.

Our LB core though Dino needs to do better and better fast.
Any deep roster RBs that can be converted? I mean that unit is slow and gives up way too much space.

Man I hate our schedule its friggen 7 weeks until we play a normal game again @ home against pitt. (Clemson and NC State are longshots to be competitive, the bye sucks, and WMU/HC won't mean anything if we win or play well vs them.)

So we have talented lbs...unfortunately they are young. Other areas we recruited heavier early on. My guess is they will see some play as the season progresses. I think getting Williams back will help our defense. Maryland runners had their way. I am not going to be pulled into the dump ward comments. Let’s see what happens.

Cisco lead the team with 9 tackles, Armstrong with 8, Williams with 7. No other tackles from a LB, so only 15 LB tackles. Seems like they both missed that many all game. Not sure how a 3rd LB isn't needed, at least to give a breather to the starters who aren't doing much.

With that said, good lord Cisco, what would this team be without him? Stealing that pick from 2 other players closer, one on their team, one on ours.

It's the same thing every freaking time. He runs up, no breakdown and the back runs right by him. What really pisses me off is that he has to know he is the last defender so he has to make the tackle. He cost Syracuse the Pitt game last year. Where is Devon Clarke?????? Where is Cam Jonas?????????

I'm sure it isn't this way but it feels like we settle on playing our most experienced linebackers by default and there isn't ever a plan to develop guys other than that. And then we play them the whole game.

I'm encouraged that Mikel Jones is out there, even though he's learning on the job.
