Washington seemed like a very solid pickup at the time, and certainly don't want him leaving... but my gut says Simmons, Barnwell, and Owens could end up making a great trio of speed ends as it is. The LB position is already developing into a deep group, so there would be even less early PT available there than at end..... so I guess if a kid HAS to flip, he'd probably be on my shortlist of acceptable candidates. Especially since I do believe that we will have the opportunity to bring in at least one good-sized fish by the end of the season and might need the scholarship to facilitate it.
Just because he's visiting somewhere doesn't mean he is having second thoughts about SU. These guys get 5 official visits. If it was my son, I would encourage him to take all 5, even if he's "committed" somewhere. You typically only get this chance to see other colleges one time in your life.
Visiting colleges is fun and exciting, even for a 42 year old.
