vs. #1 player in 2012 Shabazz Muhammed

vs. #1 player in 2012 Shabazz Muhammed

Robinson,De Matha point guard going to Pitt.------Just made a great lob pass to Grant for a dunk!!

Grant doesnt look so good right now. Muhammed on the other hand...

vs. #1 player in 2012 Shabazz Muhammed

Shabazz Muhammad---A MAN amongst boys!! 19 points at halftime..
J. Grant------ selfish, shoots foul shots worse yhan "Shaq" or Dwight,,nice "J" from about 25 feet.

Anja, big & slow ! Could not stop shabazz near the basket....

I like Jerami Grants mid range game, but he has gotten to the line multiple times and has not converted one free throw. He needs a lot of work from the line.

Grant is good, not as aggressive as he should be, needs a little Dion in him, his teammates dont like to utilize their big men much... Too many guards trying to drive into the lane every time.

Grant is picking it up. Showing a good mid-range jumper but can't buy a free throw. Really went high for that rebound and dunk as well. Hopefully he's more active this half defensively and on the boards. He'll just have to pick his spots on defense because the DeMatha guards are good and take a lot of shots.

Grant will be more than fine... ya he's not so aggressive and just stands around at times, but once in the Cuse zone, he will flourish... oh, and he's long, can run and jump... typical Cuse guy

Grant's routine at the free throw line doesn't look that bad (of course I only saw him attempt one), so hopefully a little work will get him more consistent. Free throws are more about repetition and routine than anything else anyway (if there's one thing I know it's free throws...I can still go out and knock down 80-90 out of 100 every time).

Never been impressed with Anya, just having those doubts reaffirmed. Much happier with DC2. Shabazz btw is the real deal, the guy has it all.

Grant really gets up, can rebound. Best thing about him is he goes up strong and tries to dunk every time under the basket. No weak layup attempts.

I think Grant's gonna have to redshirt next year anyways so hopefully he works on his whole game.

After watching the 2nd and 3rd quarters and midway through the 4th it is quite clear...Shabazz Muhammed is head and shoulders better than either Anya or Grant. I don't see any way Grant comes in next year and contributes.

Grant's poor free throw shooting should come as no surprise. I believe he shot just over 50% for the season last year.

Also, I think Anya is better right now than Onuaku was as a senior in high school. Both are built the same but Anya has a 7'9" wingspan.

Grant has real good athleticism...quick, big time hops, long. Typical kind of fit for an SU forward. Showed the ability to hit mid range jumpers. Just not aggressive enough on offense. Didn't demand the ball. Too content to stand out on the perimeter and watch his guards jack up shots. Looked a little like a HS Warrick. Overall a kid we can develop but doesn't look like an impact guy for next year. Of course this is based on a sample of one game. I was actually more impressed with DeMatha's PG Lyles--a junior. Quick, heady, play-maker. I wonder if Hop was there and took note. He was there yesterday but didn't see him this afternoon. Wasn't impressed with Anya despite his ranking. No offensive skills at all. While he blocked a few shots he looked slow footed.

Grant will be the best "catch" among these players and Robinson will do well at Pitt also, Muhammad is ready for the NBA so he is one and done at best wherever he goes. Grant however, will flourish in the zone and be here 3-4 years.

Grant will be a nice 4 year player. His upside seems to be limited, but his floor is high. Not a guy who is going to be jumping anywhere after soph season.

Word on the street is, JB got one look at his prowess from the free throw line and said, "I must have him"
