Jerry Palm has us as a preseason #1 seed in his mock bracket

Yes, we got the first "I'd sign for this bracket" post of the year!

Between that and the Roy Williams doesn't respect us post, it's almost like mid season.

Next we either need a zone vs man debate, or a "how deep we will go this year" post

Can we please just sign up for this bracket now? Unbelievable bracket no BCS conference opponents other than Miami(Fl) till the elite 8, and yes I know Xavier and Gonzaga are good teams. However, they tend to underachieve in the tournament.

Thanks for reminding me to buy my tickets for Pittsburgh. Just picked up two of them. If anyone wants to buy for any of the NCAA games, you can get them today before they go on sale to the general public. Just go to the ticketmaster.com site and use the password IMAFAN under the social media passwork link. Not great seats, but they are seats. Plus gives me a good reason to go visit my relatives in Pittsburgh.

I know obviously the chances of this happening are significantly less than 0%, but its interesting to see we are that 4th or 5th team in Palm's mind(A guy who is pretty sharp) behind the top 3 North Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio State. I personally see us as a top 10 team, but we need Scoop and Dion to get along with Triche, and Fab must show the improvement he had late in the season.

I kind of agree, I look at the 3 teams you mentioned, and they have some incredible players. And I look at our team, and we have no one in the universe of Barnes or Sullinger or probably Terrence jones. So I think to myself, are we really int he same area as those teams? But we do have a TON of talented, experienced, players coming back. So while we may not have the star power of teams like that (or throw in UConn as well, with Drummond and Lamb) I think our balance may allow us to compete with the big boys.

I haven't been impressed with Kentucky,North Carolina, or Connecticut yet this year either.

How come we're going out West ... I mean Pittsburgh is ok but Albuquerque? Actually, looking at the site cities there is really no venue that is very impressive.
