Class of 2020 JUCO WR Isaiah Jones (FL/El Camino CC) COMMITTED TO SYRACUSE (7/31/20)

2nd team Class 4A All State in 2018.

Originally from Bangor, PA, about 32 miles north of Allentown. Transferred to Florida for his senior season of HS ball.

This allows him to come back to play college ball near home.

Here is some footage of him playing basketball.

Looks like a fine athlete. He has excellent leaping ability.

Will need to get stronger and tougher. Hope his weight is up from 180. He was listed at 175 back 3 years ago.

Not sure he'll help this year but he is a nice insurance policy. Hopefully he be good enough to play 3-4 free games

So far no tweets from the coaches. That is unusual. They tend to be the first to tweet about new commits. Hope this is legit.

Babers liked the tweet. It's legit.

Senior year highlights
Coach Beach HS has produced a few NFL players. Jamel Dean of the Bucs. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson of the Saints. Jawaan Taylor, an OL for Jacksonville.

And surfer Kelly Slater is an alum.

He really needs to add a few pounds and work with the S & C

Gotta correct you Tomcat. Cocoa Beach High School is indeed the home of Kelly Slater but not much else. (Brian Johnson of the Red Sox is about it). Their football team is atrocious, the equivalent of Manlius Pebble Hill roughly.

The football players you mentioned all played for Cocoa High School, which is about 8 miles west of CBHS. Cocoa High has been a football powerhouse with about 5 state titles in the last 10 years. Several D1 players every year including high D1 players consistently.

Thanks, didn’t realize there were 2 high schools there.

Nope, not a burner but catches the ball in traffic very well.

Reminds me of a taller Marcus Sales.

Catches with well his hands, high points well, and a glider. Shows nice willingness to block as well which will endear him to coach Babers no doubt.
