Very weird play. HC player I think was just trying to punch the ball out but he just kept going and never getting the ball. The players self awareness was non existent.

He threw three punches in relatively quick succession. It was easily seen with naked eye and was captured on replay at the game. Dude should have been tosssed.

Just watch the ESPN replay. They showed the replay during the game. Both punches were full on, arm cocked back, throwing a roundhouse to Kyle’s side/kidney. The fact the kid didn’t get thrown out is ridiculous. If the refs missed it then I’d understand but one of them saw it at least to throw a flag. How you see it and then don’t throw a flag is insane.

Yeah orange heel can’t be talking about the same play. It was blown dead. Play was over for like 3 minutes and then the kid decided to start punching the ball out by smashing Kyle’s back and kidneys. It was nuts.

Right. I had a clear view of the play. That was what he was trying to do.

If you throw a punch and miss the ball isn't the result just throwing a punch near a player, isn't that a penalty?
Now if you miss the ball and punch an opponent isn't that an ejection able offense because you are just throwing punches at players? This punching thing needs to really be reeled in.

I doubt the punches inflicted much damage but a non-football act like punching a guy in the back repeatedly is crossing the line. Kid should have been tossed.

I know this was a gotcha moment but I wrote the sentence incorrectly and meant to say, “how you don’t throw the kid out after throwing a flag…..”.

I thought it looked like he was punching the back / back-flag of Kyle’s pads.
