Gmac senior year is the last 1 i remember, at msg during a blizzard.

January 2007. The first of consecutive games (the next against Louisville) in which we melted down and handed away a late lead. This one had the bonus of some gross clock mismanagement by Syracuse.

It will be closer than it should be but we get the win in the end...like Cincinnati..like the mountaineers

looks like we have won 6 in a row since 2007, and 12 out of 13 since 2000.

Those teams are both better than St. John's though.

If we don't let Harkless have a monster game we should control most of it.

PS. Do you guys realize that Harkless de-committed from UConn? How badly could they use him right now?

Then thats probably the game i remember, just thought it was the blizzard game. Sunday afternoon game? I remember devo having a big game trying to bring us back.

We won the blizzard game in 05-06, and then lost the following year at MSG.

I believe that 2007 loss was our only loss against a team from New York State in at least the past decade.

I believe Devendorf gave both of those games away.

This is what I remember, too, though the only detail I remember is the clock management thing.

We cut it to 4 with about a minute to play and Boeheim didn't want to foul. Instead St. John's ran the shot clock to just about zero, missed, and got the offensive rebound.

Looking at the play by play for that game, I may have been too rough on Devo. He did score 10 points in the last 6 minutes.

I'm recalling a couple horrific forces and/or turnovers.

Yeah that was my thought too. Couldn't find any turnovers in a quick glance, but that doesn't tell the story totally.

I couldn't get the pbp for the Lville game, I could have sworn he was terrible down that stretch though.

Haven't read through the rest of the thread, but Devo gave a 4 point play late in that game.

Devo was not a point guard and had to play there due to J.Wright's lack of basketball skills.

The Dolphins may argue that.

Yeah, I don't want to hate too hard on him, since he was playing out of position.

I had a great time at that blizzard game. Great atmosphere even though there were 5k at best. All were rooting for the Orange.

There you go - that's the kind of error that we wouldn't find in the play-by-play
