I am an Orange fan, no doubt.

This weekend, I am also pulling for Johns-Hopkins, Michigan, and Ohio State.
Rutgers sucks (O.K., they have a decent coach, a kid who caught lightening in a bottle, are seriously over-rated for the schedule they have played to date, but they are still Rutgers!), are only 1 point favorites and the Jays are a better coached team, I would not be surprised to see JHU win by a few goals.
I want Maryland downed, I don't want them to have an easy path in the post season.
The Buckeyes are playing PSU, do I need more reason than cheering on anyone that plays against Ped State?

It is certainly possible that Fraudgers could lose out (UM, MD, PSU, O$U). That would leave them out of the B1G tournament, 8-6, and most likely out of the NCAA tournament. I wonder if there was ever a team that achieved the No. 1 ranking and failed to make the NCAA's.

Only at Rutgers

just keeping track of Cornell this year as they are down a but and very young but SU playing all these big games better now sleeping on them. Cornell always gives them a game and while sitting at 1-6 blew late 2 goal leads vs UV and Penn or would be sitting around .500..

against Dart today that outshot them 18-0 in the first quarter , something you dont see every day. when they get shots on goal they score and they scored 18 against UV..

Albany is starting to crank it up. I cannot wait for that game with umd

Staff has made some horrible decisions regarding faceoffs the last decade. Ben fell into their laps and Varello looks promising but they haven't prioritized the position and it has probably cost them several championships.

1 for sure.

Chris Daddio was a 2010 US Lacrosse All-American who graduated high school with an incredible .880 face-off winning percentage his senior year.

Horrible decision to recruit this kid? He was one of the top rated FOGOs in his recruiting class.

Yup no doubt he was a huge recruit coming out if high school. I remember the year before he came in Carcaterra was talking about SUs faceoff woes and how we had 2 guys coming in the following year who would right the ship one of which was Daddio. Its funny because as bad he struggled he did figure it out halfway through his senior season and put up huge numbers down the stretch.

You have to recruit this position every year. The staff has failed to prioritize this position and Williams has rescued them, just like Mariano, two transfers whom the staff did not target out of high school. There is a fragility associated with depending upon being lucky rather than good.

Riiight.

Just like Amba Etta-Tawo "fell into" Dino's lap, and White and Gillon "fell into" Boeheim's lap.

There was absolutely NO recruiting involved with Williams and Mariano. It was all blind luck.

Since I know you're going to ask who the staff is planning on failing to prioritize in the future...

Class of 2017: Jake Phaup and Nate Garlow
Class of 2018: Thomas Washington and Seth Thornton
Class of 2019: Brandon Aviles and Luke Talago

are the FOGO specialists SU currently has commitments from.

I expect SU to take a transfer fogo this off seasonas well as Garlow is more of a walk on type, I doubt he would ever see the field

Thanks but I was already aware of future recruiting targets and just as aware of whom the staff had failed to recruit in the past.

Why is it assumed that we didn't recruit Ierlan? I'm thinking the staff didn't want to commit a full scholly to him & Albany did.

All-Greater Rochester 2015 spring athletes

Ierlan, a junior midfielder at Victor, has a verbal commitment to play on scholarship at State University of New York at Albany.

“I really liked their coaching staff and the guys on the team seem more like me out of all the schools I visited.’’

Ierlan, who wrestled to a fifth-place finish at the state championships and captains Victor’s chess team, said he visited Syracuse University, Maryland, Penn State, Townson State (Md.), Rutgers (N.J.), Hobart and Ohio State, among others, looking for the right lacrosse team and school.
