Bracketology: The Repercussions of Big East Chaos | US Lacrosse Magazine

Newark, Del.

(1) BIG TEN/Maryland vs. NORTHEAST/Hobart-MAAC/Monmouth
(8) Denver vs. North Carolina

Hempstead, N.Y.

(5) Penn State vs. PATRIOT/Loyola
(4) Ohio State vs. IVY/Yale

Newark, Del.

(3) Notre Dame vs. SOUTHERN/Richmond
(6) Duke vs. CAA/Towson

Hempstead, N.Y.

(7) Johns Hopkins vs. AMERICA EAST/Albany
(2) Syracuse vs. BIG EAST/Providence

Last three in: Johns Hopkins, Denver, North Carolina
First three out: Rutgers, Army, Hofstra
Multi-bid conferences: ACC (4), Big Ten (4), Big East (2)

So long as it handles Colgate, Syracuse will have a good case for the No. 2 seed. It has a head-to-head victory over Notre Dame and more high-end victories

It's crazy to think that 2 conferences will use up 88% of the at large spots. If Denver had won their conference Rutgers would have made it 100% across 2 conferences (based on this bracketology).

I hate Hop so much. Why are they an at large? They have 6 losses. Finish the season 8-6. They should be sneaking in, and they're gonna be a higher seen than Albany according to this.

It's good to be the king.

An awful lot of (potential) second round re-matches:

PSU-OSU, ND-Duke, SU-JHU.

Not to mention a UMd-UNC championship redo.

Albany needs Yale to win the Ivy championship if they are going to have a case for a home game. I don't see Hop as a top 8 team but I'm not on the committee. Albany wins and Yale wins, Albany should have a home game as an 8 seed and play Hop.

Also, 1-4 on the road. At UNC looks like a good win, until you notice that the Heels were 2-6 at home.

It seems like the home win over Loyola might be the Blue Jays' ticket to ride.

LOL Hopkins as the 7 seed.
Is the committee made up of Petro, Quint, Rabil and family?

They lost to Ohio State.

I wish the Lax committee could handle the basketball selections as if powers get these breaks we would never miss the tourney.

If they beat Maryland tomorrow, how high will they they be placed? They will be exposed no matter.

If Ohio State beats Maryland IMO
It's Ohio State or Syracuse 1/2
Maryland 3
Notre Dame 4

The Choking Dog Caps (copyright Anthony J. Kornheiser) are down to their last gasp.

Umm... ABP? Anyone but Pittsburgh? Seriously though, anyone but Pittsburgh.

As a Michigander I hate to say this, but I think OSU is being undervalued. I would not be surprised at all that they beat Maryland tomorrow.

Agreed and I could see them jumping Cuse for the top seed
