Did anyone see that? The entire crowd was lit up red. I hope we do something similar in the dome. The same look but orange would be sweet.
Considering we play in a dome and can do that whenever we want (not just night games), I think that’s a great idea.
Sweet...then we can have holograms of Dwight Freeney during plays in order to attract double teams while our real players at the time sneak through unblocked.Let’s put aside $24,000,000 for LED lights.
Look at all the white dots from idiots and their phones.
Lighting up Sanford Stadium tradition continues to grow
When the game clock hits zero to end the third quarter in Georgia’s upcoming game against Mississippi State, Sanford Stadium will be filled by more than just the sound ofwww.redandblack.com
I was blown away on Gamedays when I first moved down south. Every Chick Fil A around Metro Atlanta looks a mini UGA tailgate come Saturday mornings.I've been to several games at Sanford Stadium over the years, awesome experience. Athens is a really cool college town. I bleed orange and Cuse is my favorite team by far but UGA has become my adopted Southern team (lots of friends down here who are UGA fans/alums).

I actually read up on it, and while I can’t find how much UGA spent, the Atlanta Braves stadium was around $4 mil for installation, I think... however, there is a positive maintenance-cost/energy-savings component in the years following to help offset some of the initial investment.I hope we could cut a better deal than that for lights.

The new lights were actually installed by a company from Syracuse, Ephesus Lighting. I’m a Georgia grad from the Utica area and was at the game last night. It’s completely changed the dynamics of the stadium and the gameday experience. A similar lighting system would be amazing in the Dome
Seriously. Let the dome be Esphesus’s guinea pig.isnt that the same company syracuse hired? You would think that with Ephesus being a syracuse based company that they would Want to show off what they can do in the dome.
Yes, Ephesus is the company putting in the LED lights. I would hope they will use the Dome as a showcase for what their systems are capable of. As the only P5 school that plays in a domed stadium, we have an environment no other big time football school can touch. We can and should be able to showcase this technology, even for day games.I think this lighting is the plan for the Dome renovation.
