Let's be encouraged by Minshew

Let's not panic about this offense yet. I've been a blowhard about the air raid for 20 years and i feel a little vindicated now. Marrone really likes Air Raid qbs - Minshew isn't his first, Tuel spent a year with Leach when they were starting over. The NFL is so dumb but they're realizing that playing guys who have thrown ten zillion passes in college is good preparation.

WSU has had some good offensive lineman recently but not the whole time. we don't need to freak out about the offensive line. It was fine last year, it'll be fine next year, don't panic over this year.

I doubt we run practices the way Leach does - throw all the time, a bunch of qbs all throwing to all the guys running routes. Maybe we do. I don't think we'll ever be as consistently good at passing as Leach which is why I always wanted him here.

Long term, we can find 6'1" guys who can chuck it around. There lots of those guys. We'll have sustained success, and we'll probably get beat by #1 teams the way everyone else does.

Agree. It's quite the luxury when the safety can sit back, not worrying so much about run support because the first 2 levels have it covered. We have to get that figured out quickly.

Nothing Minshew could do to stop that. Does 20-30, 2 TD's and an 0-3 record still make Minshew the flavor of the day? My guess is no. They put up 2 FG's the last 3 quarters of the game. As usual when Jax wins it is because of the defense. Best hope for Minshew and Jacksonville is if the defense no longer has to win the games in spite of the offense. They really haven't won because of the offense or Minshew yet.

Yep, play tight press against our wr with 2 safeties deep and let the other 5-6 defenders take care of the run. There is nothing our passing game can do but hope the running game takes advantage (spoiler alert, so far we haven’t)

People are enamored with Minshew here. Even if they lost he has played phenomenal. The blame would have been on the rushing game which was atrocious and Dd dropping a TD pass

unwatched a lot of minshew in college and was impressed. cheesy stash but smart qb. throws darts to open guys. wasn't sure how his game would translate at the next level tho.
