SHU raining threes like Lamar Mundane... Money.

Although Pitt is giving away games like Santa in a brothel, we'll need a strong defensive effort.

No threes please.

Darius lane is not in the building and this team is something fierce.

We,ve dealt with many years, at this point, of being Pitt's bitch in the BE regular season. If this team doesnt come out and bury them by 40 + It wont be enough in my eyes.

Whats the capital of Thailand? POW!

Syracuse has always been superior to Pitt as a program, & it's about time we re-established that universal truth...

That game was very high on the anger factor for me. We basically got down big as they shredded our zone...we came back and I believe actually took the lead playing press/man. The Second we got the lead..we went back into zone..and lane hits a three against it. I never understood that strategy.

I guess JB was stepping back into his comfort zone

Joking aside, for all the pain Pitt has caused us, it sure would be nice to thump them... but I will be happy with any sized win. I must admit though, a win this year won't do as much for me as when Pitt was more respectable.

This thread is very close to the "I have a bad feeling about this game" topic and it's not even gameday yet!

Let's kick their butts. But let's not storm the court for beating this team, please.

Lamar Mundane reference, awesome. Can we work Mars Blackmon into this thread too?

Thinking about that last 19-0 start, something I noticed was that SU rode that streak into February, and didn't lose until its second game of the month. Now it'll take 23-0 to go undefeated into Feb.

IIRC in that first loss in 2000, SU actually had a chance to tie or take the lead in its final possession of that game, which I believe ended with Ryan Blackwell taking like an 18 footer. Didn't seem to be great execution or game plan, or even urgency in that situation.

If there is a court storming I think it would be safe to assume the main reason is for the 20-0 start, more so than the opponent (although Pitt has been a thorn in our side the last few years). Winning a close game, while achieving a historic landmark on Big Monday, could prompt a court stormin'.
I think if it's a crushing victory it would be harder for the masses to get excited at the end.

Santa in a brothel?

that 2000 team didnt play defense like these kids do-that team won ugly a lot,i dont think anyone had faith in that team going final4 based on play but on record

Yep, chance to tie, and Blackwell had a good look. Much more costly were his two missed transition lay-ups earlier in the game. He put up a real stinker that night.

Cuse by 5

Big Monday... primetime... ESPN... in the Dome... students back... but Dixon owns Boeheim... the final spread should be 15-20 as a #1 team. But alas...

Raoul, Great to see you! Where have you been?

I think the boys will vindicate JB this time around...

Payback is a feminine Canine...

I met Blackwell once, he seemed very nice, but he was one of my least favorite Syracuse players to watch play (out of the ones that were fairly good). I don't know what it was about him, but I hated his game - everything seemed kind of slow motion or something.

Clock management and last-possession tactics have always been JB's weak points.

hopefully pitt will be 'handing out movie tickets"
