Unfortunately, I think that this team’s inability to trap/pressure in late game situations and when they fall behind substantially is going to limit their ceiling even when the offense is more consistent.
In past seasons, I would at least think that the pressure they could throw at teams could fluster the opponent or at least allow SU to get some quick easy baskets. The athleticism issue ends up meaning that the guys who may help there are not as talented offensively so it becomes a zero sum gain even if they can turn opponents over.
Thought Benny had some bright spots tonight and he is flat out going to have to develop for this squad to progress. His jumper looked better tonight but he really needs to be more aggressive on both ends of the floor and I would give him wide latitude in order to facilitate that.
