Maine?

We're headed back to NY in a couple days for a few weeks. While we are up there, I'm planning to take the wife to Maine (coast) for our anniversary. Thinking 3 or 4 days. Neither of us has been there. Any recommendations on places to go/see, things to do, or nice (but not too expensive) places to stay/lodge? I had a few places in mind... Kennebunkport, Portland, and Bar Harbor. Thanks for any suggestions/tips in advance!

For Portland, I’d say cocktails at Central Provisions, Oxbow if you want to do the brewery thing (get the duck fat fries at the connected stand), and dinner at Drifter’s Wife (wine bar and small plates) or Miyake (noodle bar and Sushi). All depends on what vibe you’re going for. If you’re a beer person, Maine Beer Co. is excellent, too, but about 20 mins north of Portland.

Bar Harbor Inn or Airbnb are about all I can recommend up there from experience. Acadia is beautiful, so I hope that’s on the list.

Ogunquit. You can day trip it from there to Kennebunkport and Portland.

We like Boothbay Harbor, Kennebunkport and Rockland/Camden area.
