The only teams that are “good” at man are the ones who foul on every play and get away with enough of them. It takes a lot of practice to learn how to foul cutters, foul ball handlers, and play help side defense while fouling...and getting away with most of it.

Get over it. Im sick of the vendetta against JB garbage. The bottom line is that the program has been slipping for the last 5 or so years. Each year we get blown out in more games by mediocre teams than i can ever remember. Jim is a great coach. HOF for sure but his staff is marginal since Hop left, Jim doesn't put the effort in on recruiting and its catching up with us. Next year could be ugly. Tyus is gone. We dont have a point. Our two centers are a top 300 recruit and a kid who has chronic tendonitis. OB if he doesn't declare for the North Korean draft is going to be doing everything in his power to prove that he can shoot 25% from the 3 and 50 from the foul line. Hughes will continue to be a poor mans White. Marek will continue to do his best while doubling as an extra in Shindlers list 2 and Buddy will lead the team in scoring but decide to transfer at the break to play for Hop in Washington. Still JB after only winning 1 conference game next year will ride the Zone to an ACC tournament championship and a final 4 run and announce that he is going to retire after the 2030 season. Ok so im exaggerating. We will only make the sweet sixteen.

All kidding aside our problems are that it is very difficult for us to recruit at a high level. With Jim in essence a lame duck coach each year is going to become harder. Every opposing coach is going to hammer this. Next year is pretty much our last year to land a solid class and with the exception of one kid we are not favored by any of our top targets. 2 years from now forget about it.
Back to this year we still have a chance to make a run. Its going to take an amazing coaching job by JB but we have a chance. I really wish he would have honored his agreement with Hop.
