I still don't understand what is up with this chin strap fad...wearing the chin strap over your mouth...I don't get hows it is remotely comfortable or looks "cool"...Pretty sure that NFHS/USA Lacrosse just banned this for HS lax for 2025.

Not to be that guy but "big time wins" isn't exactly accurate. Hopkins is a quality win, but the rest of the schedule has been a major dissapoint. Vermont is 2-4, Utah is an ungodly 1-6 after a terrible loss to Marquette and Towson just got its second win of the year this past Saturday and is 2-5. Towson could go on a massive run as their schedule the rest of the way save for Fairfield and maybe SB is a cakewalk. Gate losing to Bucknell this past Sat was less then optimal.

I dont care that it was their first game of the year, Utah putting up 19 on the road at Ohio State is one of the wildest results in a long time. Utah's most goals in a game after that is 12. OSU has gone on to give up 5 to UVA, 9 to ND, and never gave up more than 11 to anyone. Totally insane, even if they did not have their goalie situation worked out.

Oh man, I first noticed a player doing this in the Hopkins game and thought I was just seeing things, so pretended in my mind like I hadn't just seen that. Very weird trend for sure.

Also, if we're going to be so worked up about CTE and anything near the head is an immediate penalty, can we enforce helmet rules? A guy should not be able to take his helmet off without unbuckling a single strap. That means the thing must bobble-head around when the guy runs. So, if you want to take CTE seriously and be extra cautious with penalties and have guys wearing neck collars, well, make sure your helmet is actually tight.

And the modern helmets with the rear rachet are light-years better than lace ups we had as kids, or even the Cascades in the late 90s. If your helmet is that loose, it's not doing its job. I do far more mtb biking and cycling these days than lacrosse. Bike helmets have similar rear ratchets and if I'm going to wear a helmet, I want it snug and not moving around at all.

Blows my mind when a guy pushes his helmet up on his head during a TO and doesn't unbuckle a single strap.
