Not only does he drive the same vehicle as the victim but both are former SU students.

concerns all of us.

took my kids to see Santa there.

my wife often goes by herself or with the kids.

i get why they want the cars that are parked there, but just hotwire and steal it when they walk in.

they felt the need to shoot someone for a RangeRover??? theyre freakin a dime a dozen here.

senseless.

Then they dumped the vehicle nearby.

What a human tragedy.

This stuff affects all of us.

To some life is cheap.

To those affected it is everything.

It’s just senseless. No car is worth killing the guy (hell nothing is worth the murder) but seriously What, I would’ve flipped the carjacker the keys, opened the door for him and told him to enjoy the ride. I don’t understand why the need to put a bullet in his head for it.

Good thing for all those tough NJ gun laws.

Have you heard any details of what the victim did when confronted or did they just shoot first?

dont go all gun law on us phat.

this is a senseless tragedy that couldnt have been prevented by any law.

although...

maybe if newark had stop and frisk these punks wouldnt have had a gun.

we are all expecting crime to go up in NYC now, fwiw.

he went down swinging.

Just heard Bloomberg say that the other day there was not one single murder in NYC the day before and that crime on the whole was down.

"In New York City, murders are down 20 percent for the year, with less than one murder per day, a rate not seen since the 1950s"

I only know what I read over at nj.com where they said the carjackers walked up behind him and shot him in the head. Though I assumed he resisted and that's why he was shot. Who knows.

Either way I don't get it. Why shoot someone over a car and why resist letting your car get stolen? Baffling.

OK, so that was a dog & pony show he put on to help tourism for Christmas etc.
my circle of friends has more NYPD, FDNY & FBI agents in it than i can shake a stick at and all of them tell me...so i really dont need an article to support this...that they expect crime & ER calls to go way up without stop & frisk.

and yeah, thats likely why Bloomy said that, plus hes gone in 2 weeks so expect a lot of 'happy happy joy joy the world is a better place because of me' pressers.

I was told that his wife was in the car already when they came up behind him and demanded the keys. He said no, that his wife was in the car. They shot him and she jumped out screaming.

I hope they find those bastards and give them the death penalty (assuming NJ has it). That's just pure cold blooded murder.
