The coaches didn’t like Penny coming right in and using his connections to get these kids.

It seems like the NCAA is now trying to show how vigilant they are. There is no way they are trying to save face given all the dirt the FBI uncovered, and their enlightened reaction to state's passing legislation to allow college athletes to benefit.
