Class of 2016 New Commit: Drake Porter (ON) Goalie

· Drake Porter (Aurora, Ontario, Canada/Goalie/Class of 2017) – Porter is a 5-foot-11 goalie who began playing lacrosse at the age of six, earning much of his experience with the Edge Lacrosse Program, while starting for his varsity team, and starting for Newmarket Redbirds U19. Porter was also named MVP of the 2014 All-Canada Games Championship game and was named to the All-Ontario Team.

Drake Porter is an Aurora, Ontario based goalie who has played organized lacrosse since he was 6 years old. Drake is currently playing for the Edge 2017 Prep Team, which is his third year playing for Edge. Drake was the starting Varsity goalie for Saint Andrews College Prep in his sophomore and junior years. He will attend IMG Academy as a goalie for his senior year. Drake has been starting goalie for Newmarket Redbirds U19, U16 and U14 Field Lacrosse teams. Drake is an exceptional ball-stopper and outstanding passer and he is fearless in challenging shooters. Drake is an athletic goalie who takes pride in his leadership of the defense. Drake’s goal is to attend a Division I lacrosse school where he hopes to study Business or Liberal Arts.

Goalie for next year potentially? It should be pretty wide open.
 
IMG lax just played two games in NJ and gave up 27 goals in those two games, many more than their two NJ opponents have been scoring agaisnt their own NJ comp. Gave up 11 in a 14-11 win over a 1-4 BC who was missing their entire attack for that game and had previously scored only 11 combined agaisnt two local publics then 16 in a 17-16 win to 5-4 Lawrenceville who had scored 4,8, 7 agaisnt regularly schedule NJ teams. Not sure why that was but not a strong impression . The A French is a top talent

Certainly is, referring to a sports academy that is supposedly comprised of major talent across the board from all over. Pt is top teams and talent pool from NY, Conn, NJ, Pa. region runs plenty deep
