Just got to see the trailer of the new Dome seating. It’s, IMO, gorgeous. All blue chairs and a slice of orange about ten rows deep at the SU 50 yard line. Tried to find it online today but it has disappeared from Thursday’s articles for football. If you have not seen it –it is worth a search.

The ambiance of the total experience is amazing, first class installation and now we look amazing.

To me, the overall appearance of the interior is now a space conducive to Football, Basketball and all SU sports. An upbeat atmosphere fostering growth, well-being, and a healthy environment. A positive space with Syracuse Football color written all over it.

I saw from twitter that the new student convocation was in the Dome the other day. Anyone go and sit in the new seats? Very curious about leg room in the rows

Snuck into the upper deck during a lax game. Leg room is no worse than before. In fact, with the seat backs preventing the guy in front of you from leaning back, it may even be better.

Agree with this. And the fact that the seats push back when you get up creates more room for folks to walk back when you stand up.

we are a running team. game time will go down to under 3 hrs now.
Not if we score on long runs everytime we get the ball and force a ton of incompletions once teams are behind and throwing every down. Lequint Allen, 40 ypc!

Not to get away from the in-seat passive-aggressive warfare…but to maybe address Bill’s original point.

On video at least, this reno looks gorgeous

Hard to believe this is the same building I squeezed into in 1980.

Did anyone ever believe that first night against Miami of Ohio, the sweatbox of a game that the Dome would become this?

Well, when this thread first came out I was very complimentary of the Dome’s effort and process. I spoke too soon.

For years we have sat in the last row way up top of the Dome. It’s where I prefer to sit.

When I renewed, I actually spoke to me rep at the ticket office, and he assured me I would have my same seats. When we went to the first game, we went right up and sat down. Like always.

By game 2, I found out that I actually have the same three seats, and the same row name. Except now that row is two rows forward. How that happened without any new rows being constructed or eliminated is a puzzle. So now my last row seats are not available. Well they are… but only to individual ticket purchasers. Crap! I don’t want to sit two rows forward, I want the last row. The row I was told I had.

The dome ticket office can’t explain it. They have no idea how the row designations changed. But I’m out of luck. So the row I wanted, that no one else wanted, is not available. I even asked if I can just trade my season tickets for those seats. But apparently it’s too difficult of a process!

I am told I will be able to purchase them next year. (I’m skeptical.) In the meantime, I’m going to go seat in those seats. If some single game ticket holder shows up, he will have to tell me to move. I’ll ask him if he would like to sit two rows closer to the action. Maybe he will trade. Maybe not. I was told that Holy Cross is already a sell-out.

The Dome ticket office screwed up on this.

when you picked them online you couldnt see rows behind yours to select?
Online did not show rows behind us. It showed our section as we knew it. My point to the Dome rep was… last row is last row no matter what the call it. The section did not add rows. But apparently their map was faulty as was mine. The STH’s next to us had the exact same problem.
