Who’s it gonna be? Assuming Taj progresses into TJ’s role and Cameron was to take the big outside spot.

This thread assumes there will be a season, so keep your covid discussions to the off topic board.

Can I vote for 2? lol (Jackson and Riley replacements)

It is obviously Hendrix if healthy.

In a normal year, would expect Alford to be getting run (as well as Trebor Pena in the slot, think he is going to be similar to Erv). This offense is designed for WR's to contribute immediately, specifically the outside go-route guys. Hard to say with what the build-up looks like right now and if freshman will be game ready (especially if only conference games).

RTB checking in at 234 pounds is probably an under-rated thing to watch in an offense that needs some blocking from the outside WR's at times.

It may be a conventional personnel group (2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB) deployed in various formations. 2 TE's on the line to 2 TE's spread out with the WR's to a TE lined up at FB (if Elmore is in).

Would say it is Hendrix - Alford - Benson as a hybrid.

He's at RB now
You’d figure he’d be perfect for the slot receiver with all that speed. Maybe as a backup to Johnson?
Just curious since he came in w/ some serious hype re; speed.

Whatever happened to that kid, Cooper Lutz? Not a peep outta him.
He’s got great size but may be in better position for the slot or HB? Anyone concur?

Benson wont play outside now that he's 233 pounds. It's all Hendrix if healthy. Like someone said, dont sleep on Sharod. He's been dual trained through the years. Queeley, Alford, Williams and Barron are next in line. It could be a matter of who blocks well and has a better understanding of the offense. WR's need to know what they are doing so it wont slow the offense down.

Fast and tall doesn’t make a wr you need fluid hips and benson is tight , love him at TE

Seems like he has a far less chance to see the field at running back. Why not keep him in the slot? There's literally 2 other guys there, right? Nyk and Courtney
Didn't he play mostly RB in high school? Maybe they looked at him in the slot and he just didn't fit the mold.

Agree. Would be shocked to see him touch the field at RB with Howard, Adams, Jordan, Tucker there. If you want to give him a chance move him to DB, we need 5 of those on the field.

Agree. I thought he would be good in the slot.

Benson is going to be a star.

Game breaker. Remember watching him turn up field with catches fully expecting him to get caught from behind... And then watching him run away from defenders for six. Admittedly thought it was Hackett at first and was thoroughly confused until saw it was number 87 running into the end zone in front of me. 8 catches for 176 yards and 3 TDs as a frosh

His success will depend on line play
And his ability to block , Hackett proved he can block and find the end zone , if WRs struggle going double tight ends would be
A good option
