If the ACC hadn't offered ND partial membership and Notre Dame were still in the Big East with both feet at the drop of today's news... would Notre Dame be compelled to end its independence to escape the turd that is the Big East? If so, would they go ACC or Big10?

The ACC was potentially just months too premature in offering a bid to Notre Dame to get them in 100%.

Notre Dame would probably have been leading the Catholics into a non-football Big East along with UCONN and Cincy.
