best performance I have seen. Dude can sling it, and in tight windows. One mistake, really. Hats off to the defense to not get discouraged.
He may end up being the best we see all year as a pure passer. He is very very good
Leary and Hartmann will be interesting to seeHe’s the best QB we’ll play all year, incredibly accurate.
Totally agree. O’Connell was masterful in the pocket.best performance I have seen. Dude can sling it, and in tight windows. One mistake, really. Hats off to the defense to not get discouraged.
Big man TDs are always an instant classic. Big man INT TDs… can’t beat thatHe was really good, but that sack/pick 6 was one of the most exciting defensive plays in SU history.
My favorite memory of the entire game. The big men in the trenches so rarely get to be in the spotlight.Big man TDs are always an instant classic. Big man INT TDs… can’t beat that
Ha, that’s nuts. He made one horrible mistake that cost them the game.Saw a person on the purdue forum calling for the walk on QB to be benched and try one of the hyped QBs. Talk about delusional. AOC is a really good QB and they still want the back up.
I feel bad for the beak and skiff apple pickers today who missed thatHe was really good, but that sack/pick 6 was one of the most exciting defensive plays in SU history.
I don’t remember Bernie playing the OrangeReminded me of Bernie Kosar. Guy was a hand full
To your last part, our CBs rarely got their hands on his passes, he rarely put the ball in dangerous spots that could have been picked (minus Calebs sort of fluky INT), rarely had deflections or tips from the Dline or LBsHa, that’s nuts. He made one horrible mistake that cost them the game.
But with average QB play - they would’ve struggled to score much at all. They couldn’t run on us. Their QB carried them and put the ball on the money all night. Even when we had pretty good coverage, he often made perfect throws for completions anyway.
Agree on O’Connell and Jones.O’Connell and Jones were great. I thought the OC did a great job of calling plays. TBH, I thought Purdue outplayed us in most facets of the game.
We left some points on the board and our QB looked pedestrian at best.
If Linton’s hand is six inches further back, we win the game by 10. Just a brutal penalty that we’d be bitching about if we lost.
In the end, we had more points.
On to Virginia.
Agreed. Check the first ten pages of todays game thread. And the first sniff of blood in the water of every top QB in our programs history. Next man up is always pie in the sky.Saw a person on the purdue forum calling for the walk on QB to be benched and try one of the hyped QBs. Talk about delusional.
