Where my wife grew up (when that song came out), their local phone numbers all started with 867- and so yes whoever was unlucky enough to have that number got bombed with calls and ended up having to get a different phone number.

One of the best responses ever I was teaching someone to make prank calls We called a bar on Cortland and I said I'm looking for Mike Hunt , the lady who answered started laughing hysterically and said oh I'm sure you are, she said I'll bet your also looking for Jack mehoff too. I could here people laughing I'm the background .
