Class of 2019 OL Willie Tyler (WI / IWCC / TEXAS) Portal from Rutgers to Louisville

Nice! We need upperclassmen on the OL!

And well done to Mike M. for breaking recruiting information.

Huge -- figuratively and literally. The OL should have much improved depth, talent, and competition in 2021.

About damn time...
Not sure how many can play, but for the first time in a long time, we have a bevy of P5 sized OL on the roster. The OL on our roster look like what you would expect from a school in the ACC.

Of course, we don't have a roster so we can't look at it. But we can imagine would the roster would look like if it existed. ;)

Welcome aboard Big Willie!

Two experienced transfers coming in -- Tyler having most recently played at Texas. Bleich finally eligible. Several guys who missed all of last year [Froumy, Red, etc.] back. We landed our top rated OL prospect [a LT] in a long time. It's possible that three guys who started last year might shift to the 2nd unit on the two-deep, depending on how spring practice and fall practice play out. What a difference.

Now, we need the majority of these guys to get healthy next year, so we can avoid a repeat performance of 2019 / 2020, where we couldn't even field a two-deep.

I don’t think he ever played at Texas, he opted out.

He's awesome. Maybe a twosome if he brings Lester with him.

He practiced there, his redshirt year and in the subsequent spring practice, but you are right -- he didn't play.

FWIW it sounded like he was going to start at Guard before opting out. I'll take it

Yup not surprised at all. Had some social follows that made this one pretty obvious. Great get!

Even if he never gets substantial minutes here just having been through the Texas camp and practice wars improves our team, that’s how depleted our OL has been.

Great get, previously practiced against high level talent and just as importantly has been in a S&C program for a few years. He comes I would hope "ready built" for reps at least physically.

Huge addition to the OL!!!
