I'll try to find the original post...but on the surface this sounds great.

Pros
1. Your car won't be stolen and you won't get mugged
2. If Navy plays you see the March On
3. Awesome small city
4. Fly into National or BWI versus Dulles
5. Free Lodging/Parking at Chip's House

Cons
1. Chip's wife might object to us peeing in the bushes during the tailgate.

I'd fly into BWI or National for RFK, too.

Annapolis is a nice town, but I've always enjoyed games at RFK (where I think access is a lot better and tailgating is equally painless). Sorry to see it lose another event. Not sure the stadium's going to make it through this decade, now that the United looks to be close to a deal for a new Buzzard Point stadium.

Apparently someone was listening when I kept saying that I don't want to go out of my way for an SU vs Conference USA bowl game. So they've decided to move it 3 blocks from my house. Very well played. I guess I would have to go, right?

I'll have coolers in my front yard. Free drinks all night to the person that moves my neighbor's cones she puts out every Navy game, and parks in front of her house. Double down if you spend the night at her house, as long as I get to see the look on your face the next morning.

Annapolis is a great town. No shortage of bars for this crew.

ACC #8 vs CUSA for 2013. This might be a one year deal right now. I think long term this makes sense to be be ACC #8 vs AAC #4.

Happy for this...I still have a Navy Tailgate and Visitors Guide I can keep updated.

BTW, Chip you need to train your son to use your lawn wagon to roll it around and pick up our empties for recycling/cash. Teach the boy some capitalism.

I have family in Baltimore. I would absolutely try to make this work.

I have been pining for an SU visit to Annapolis for a long time. This would be great.

One of the ECU fans talked about B1G and UMd perhaps being a factor here.

I could see a scenario where the ACC loses this bowl and it becomes a B1G vs AAC game.

The DC metro area is a real battleground area between the ACC, the AAC and the B1G. Will be interesting to see who wins in this early skirmish for control of this key area of the country.

Agreed. Let's go with that.

I'm sure it will be a fun sell to tell my wife that all of my internet friends are coming over 2 days after Christmas.

The positive side: You'll have several guys there to figure out how to fix the XMas toys your son will assurdedly break in 2 days.

We're internet friends?!?!?! Yessssss!!!!!

Annapolis is less than a 2-hour drive for me, and it's a wonderful small town. Some of it has that '13 original colonies' feel to it.

I'd be there. There's a great music place there as well, the Ram's Head, I think.

Chip is hoping for you to be more like an Internet Friend with Benefits.

BTW, to SymphonySteve...if I ever move back to the NE/midatlantic...Annapolis would be in my top 3 places to live.

And of course the Syracuse area would be your #1 choice, right? ;)
