OT Paterno reportedly to step down.

His failure to act subsequent to his having become aware of abuse by his immediate subordinate is beyond revolting. I don't think anything can be worse than an adult sexually abusing a young person. Paterno's contention was that he notified school officials but his inaction within his own program allowed the abuse to continue and be perpetrated on other innocent kids. Regardless of his iconic status in the world of College Football he should be made to step down ASAP. This makes providing perks for athletes pale in comparison.

I just finished reading the grand jury transcript. If even 2% of what's in that transcript is true... with the number of different people who witnessed, reported or had knowledge of alleged events, there would seem no way that Paterno couldn't have known. This is tantamount to abetting. SICKENING. REPULSIVE. I don't even know what else to say because I'm so angry.

Going out amid recruiting violations would be one thing... this is a totally different world. The opposite of going out on top will forever be known as being Paterno'd. Disgusting.
