Penn State Series in 2027/2028

Awesome

I think the 2028 game is the first OOC game on our schedule

In 2027 we're also @ UConn, no home games yet

Mixed emotions, Would love to beat them, but on the other hand they still deserve the death penalty, and shouldn’t exist.
let's give them the death penalty on the field. Hopefully Coach Sleazebag will be coaching in the penal league by then. I usually don't like a tough OOC game unless it has a really phat payday like Tennessee, but can't resist this one

Me Like.

The more Northeast road trips the better. Rotate...

P5: Penn State, Maryland, Rutgers, West Virginia
G5: UConn, Navy, UMass***, Army, Temple

Then maybe consider interesting road trips...

P5: Northwestern, UCLA, Vanderbilt
G5: Tulane, UNLV, Memphis

Or Ohio for recruiting...

P5: Cincinatti
G5: Akron, Bowling Green, Kent State, Miami, Ohio, Toledo

Our most played OOC opponents (minimum baker's dozen):

P5: Penn State, West Virginia, Rutgers, Maryland, Cincinnati
G5: Temple, Navy, Army
FCS: Colgate, Holy Cross

***only if at Gillette for the tailgating experience

The way I see it, that's never happening. So it would just make it that much more fun to win.

I'm open to anything that brings the Dome to life. May not be scheduling for success, but winning the other 3 OOC and going 3-5 in the ACC shouldn't be too big of an ask.

Fantastic, what a team to root against. Regional and highly dislikeable. Excellent.

I know its many years away but its back to overscheduling.

I don't know how this helps Syracuse in any way. Unless the pay day is too big to pass up.

We have to schedule a Power 5, and we just lost to Rutgers. So at this point, I've stopped caring about overscheduling. Win 3 ACC games, and you can go to a bowl.

so because we lost to Rutgers once we should just overschedule and give up and not try to put ourselves in a more favorable position? I don't agree with that logic.

We will see

It's just 2 years. And no more than 2 losses. Generates some fan interest.

If we go 3-1 OOC and 2-6 in ACC and miss a bowl game, are you really going to be thinking, man if we just scheduled Vandy instead?

I came on here expecting to have to remind everyone how against you were playing Liberty, but it seems you all have placed your hate towards State Penn.

PSA: Anyone thinking of going to the '27 away game, might consider leaving your kids home.

Lets Go!!!!! I'll be there on both ends.

As much as I despise PSU, State College is a great college town. Will be jumping.

Meh the ACC sucks and we still can't even win 3-4 conference games. Pretty much any P5 on our schedule is "over scheduling" at this point. Let's at least play some interesting games in areas that we (hopefully) recruit.

Be careful what you wish for. Other schools have said the same thing about SU MBB because of Bernie Fine.

We might be able to move that @UConn game

This got me wondering, what is the last power 5 non-conference game we have won?

Was it the bowl game against WVU? Purdue and ND at home this year.
