Just want to point out that I understand it is good for SU's RPI and SOS that they are but that does not mean they should be. Pitt has beaten mainly cup cake teams and when they have had chances at wins against good teams like Cuse, UVA, and Duke, they have not been able to win. Playing tough teams close should not be enough to be ranked IMO. They have quantity but not quality in their resume and at this point if they get above a 5 seed in the NCAA tourney (if they don't get some quality wins) I think that is ridiculous. North Carolina and Indiana have better resumes than Pitt. What do you guys think? I do think they are a top 25 team but that does not mean they SHOULD be ranked.

Not many great CBB teams this year, I disagree with you, but also think UVA should be ranked

1. Pitt being ranked has no impact on our RPI or SOS.

2. I am indifferent about Pitt being ranked in the AP. They are probably a top 25 team, but they lack quality wins, so no issue if they are out in this week's rankings. But when we get around 20-25 the quality of teams is starting to get pretty thin. They all have holes in their resume.

3. They definitely limited their seed with OOC. As of now they are not a 5 seed. They have the opportunity to still get a nice seed, but have to get some sort of title to support this.

4. Pitt blew a nice opportunity this week to justify a pod seed at the end of the season by going 0-2 against quality teams at home.

4. No worry about missing the tourney. Bubble is weak. No bad losses, and they are starting to amass top 100 wins and have no bad losses. If they avoid the sub 100 RPI losses down the stretch they will be fine. They are building a tourney safe resume... at the same time not one that will get them a good seed.
