They have strung together faster tempo with certain personal groups, but if they need to they will sub in a different package, not locked into going quick just to do it.

40th in yards per play, 22nd in yards per game

McCord has been better than the old fashioned numbers say, and those stats say he's good. Success rates must be great

Tough to keep an offense on the field in previous years when we started drives 1st and 15 or 1st and 20. Mccord takes what the defense gives him and this offense is just very efficient at moving the sticks.

There was a play in 2018 NC State where we had 3rd and 16 and I knew we’d get it. It’s nice having that feeling again that if we are in a 3rd and long situation that it won’t take a miracle or luck to convert.

We could start at 1st and 15 and I'd have more confidence with this offense than anything I've seen the past couple decades.

Not to mention you have so many reliable options in the middle of the field to go with his ability to get the ball out. Pena has been so impressive in that role especially.
