If both us and Miami win out, I think there is a legitimate possibility that we get Gameday.
We have three games (at BC, at Cal, UConn). BC and Cal are probably close to coin flips, and UConn is a likely win. Miami has two games (at Ga Tech which could be a landmine game and then at home vs. Wake).
On November 29th, Ohio State/Michigan is likely out of the picture since Michigan will probably be 5-5 after this weekend. The game that we would be competing with is Texas @ Texas A&M and possibly Kansas State vs. Iowa State. Unfortunately, A&M has two easy games between now and then vs. NM St. and Auburn.
If we and Miami win out, I'm hoping that our friends at ESPN could throw us a bone and recognize that we have never hosted Gameday, and that A&M already hosted once this year. Hopefully the prestige and TV appeal of Miami's resurgence could work to our advantage. Maybe The Rock gets involved and wants to show up, etc.
