Quality Big in Portal, from Brooklyn. See her getting some big offers.

Wisconsin has been a bad program, but she is legit and has carried their team as best as she could.

She is going to be in high, high demand...she averaged 19 points and almost 18 rebounds per game. She will be looking to win a Chip her last year. I don't think the Cuse has a chance for her...But, she is from Brooklyn!!!!... Maybe she wants to finish up in the Empire State !

No chance for her here. She'll have plenty offers maybe USC, Md and stay in Big10, or I could LSU, Tenn, ND.

6'4" from Cortlandt Manor,NY. played at BU. Former POY & DPOY in Patroit league. Never played at State last year.
She's from Cortland manor New York???????? Hold it, She's 6- 4 and averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game in College?????? If We can't sign her, our program is in more trouble than I even thought!! We need two players 6-3 or taller for next year's team or we can't compete!! Let's go Orange!!! She starts in the post for us immediately next year...

Cortlandt Manor in Westchester County near Peekskill about 4 hours away. I thought it was Cortland,NY at first just about a half hour from Syracuse too.

Great height, great stats and has 2 years of eligibility left - from Kentucky and was a transfer from Bellarmine Univ in Kentucky to Penn St. Hope she isn’t looking to get closer to home, would be good if she considered us.
She has what we need: Post scoring and rebounding and great size!!! Why can't we sign a legit post player? There would be no one in front of a post player coming to Syracuse! I hate to use the word no competition, but the post is as wide open at Syracuse as you will ever find. We have to nail down two legitimate post players for next year to be competitive. I don't understand why we cant sign a couple. The ACC is a great league. There would be great competition for a post player to play against some good players: North Carolina, Duke, Notre Dame, Stanford and Virginia, all will have talented players in the post that you can measure your game against night in and night out. What is our recruiting pitch to players? With our roster, getting a Big should be Easy...Peasy!!!

Cheriehoop: Merkle and Weimer would both look good in Orange based on their skill set and our needs. I am going to close my eyes, wake me up in two weeks and let me know if we signed one or both of these two for next year!!!

I know she was a player and people who have met her love her, but can coach recruit to the level needed? Is it simply an NIL issue, or is there more?

Portal open, hope coaches are making calls. A quality Big and experienced ball handlr need.
I would assume they are working hard on it just hoping they are successful in landing impactful players and have the NIL$ to be competitive in the ACC. We need to keep improving each year despite roster losses.

Virginia’s Latasha Lattimore has entered the transfer portal with a “do not contact”, do you think it could be with Q @ Ole Miss?
Wow, could be, she decommitted when he left. He did have strong contacts and recruiting ties. Did she redshirt her sophomore year but first year at Miami since she played only 9 games? If so, next year she’d be a 5th year well travelled player- Texas, Miami(2 years) and Virginia plus a new destination. Wonder if she’d ever reconsider coming here? We really need 6’4” + talented players.

When I see no contact - makes you think there was definitely contact before entering the portal though. Always wonder why they don’t disclose the destination, if they truly don’t want any contact?

Just a freshman, Clara Silva, a 6’7” shot blocker from Portugal with good FG and FT %.Her 40 minute stats are very good. Transferring from Kentucky. Played every game but only limited minutes - 3 more years of eligibility left. Her 6’5” Kentucky teammate at Kentucky, Clara Strack who transferred to Ky from Va Tech is from Buffalo and their starting center. Imagine Silva is transferring to get more playing time with Strack just being a sophomore.

she has a do not contact tag, so she already has a school in mind
