Press Conference on now

Scoop: "Everyone we play is so "

Kris: "Looks like I need to start trying to rebound"

I'm guessing 10 different statements that all mean: "We have to all step up our games and make up for the loss together, as a unit" /end press conference ?

Every question so far about Melo...no shock.

every question so far was about FAB...ween did you hear? Have you talked to FAB yet? will you miss FAB for his defense or offense?

Both are saying the right things. Rak and Bye will step up...we will get through this and know we will move forward and play well...people all year keep sayng we have the most depth and not we get to show it...we are used to playing without him since we did it already this year...

NY Post asked what they say to the people who say we are not a FF team now. They said that people were doubting them with Fab and they believe they still can win an NC and we dont care what people think.

Asked if they felt let down by Fab. They said no and they will stick by him. They dont know what happened with him and it makes no difference what it was, he isnt here and they need to move forward.

Someone asked if enough was enough already with the problems. They said no. they go to class and play basketball and leave the distractions alone.

They said they practiced with Fab yesterday. both guys seemed pretty focused.

Said they need to keep everyone positive and as seniors its their last go around. Take it one game at a time.

Len Robbins commented how both guys played sub par in NY. They said the pressure has been on them all year long. Scoop said he needs to do more than just score and he will make the adjustments in practice to get it back.

JB "(Fab) didn't let anyone down. I know there's that out there, but in my opinion, he didn't let anyone down."

This has NCAA written all over it. I doubt it was a SU decision.

JB says in his opinion...Melo didn't let anyone down. Interesting, that means a lot in this, I feel.

I think it has to be Obama helping out those disadvantaged 16-seeds.

This is the first time I agree with Digger Phelps: SU is on a mission.

Wouldn't be such a bad idea for Fab to practice against the first squad as the second squad center...

JB "We're not trying to replace this position with people who haven't played. Baye and Christmas have been in most of our games and been contributors this year."

JB "This team winning 31 (regular season) games for me is one of the best accomplishments that I've ever been a part of. To just lose one game, I've never had a team do that before. They didn't do it with one player, they did it with 10 players. Now they have 9 left, I fully expect them to do that tomorrow."

JB "Diference than in 10' with Arinze was that we didn't have as much depth. We were playing 7 players that year. When AO went out, Ricky had to slide to the center position. Kris (6th man of the year) had to start. Arinze was a big part of that team. This is very similar, but we have a little more depth this year.

JB "I've been trying to beat up X-Mas every day, he's getting tougher. Probably not meaner, but he's made a lot of progress, he's a very hard worker in practice. Since ND he's played a lot of time at Center in practice. I think he's prepared for this situation. Baye has not had a great year, but I think it's due that he's had limited minutes. Both guys are good players and they'll get a chance to show it."

The NCAA said it was SU's decision.
