My Dad (SU alum) told me this story, but doesn't like to post.

A friend of my Dad was in the park in Queens on Sunday and sees a guy working out intensely who looked like an athlete. Upon looking closer, he sees that he's wearing SU paraphernalia and asks if he plays for them. This guy with a southern accent responds that he's on the Football team and they talked for a while. It turns out that it was Chris Fredrick who was in the area because he was accompanying a friend.

My Father's friend was very impressed with him as a person and stated he would now be checking on him to cheer him on.

My story isn't as cool, but while on a call with a customer service rep the guy got me to small talk a little college football. I mentioned being a Syracuse fan and he said "Oh, yeah? One of my friends growing up from school plays at Syracuse. Have you heard of Sean Riley?" and I was like, "Yeah."
