Let's stop the PSU talk for a bit and talk about Syracuse! :D

Does anyone know any kids the coaches are targeting(insert Sandusky joke here), for next year's class?

I'd like to see a higher rated class, as we'll be able to play the ACC card for all of next year. Here's the list of the kids we've offered for next year, so far. http://syracuse.At their request, t...ked from this site./a.z?s=185&p=9&c=4&yr=2013

What's the New York talent look like for next year, too?

These are what the ACC classes are ranked so far this year, by Scout.

1.)Miami (#6)
2.)Florida State (#8)
3.)Clemson (#9)
4.)Virginia (#17)
5.)Virginia Tech (#18)
6.)Pittsburgh* (#19)
7.)North Carolina (#31)
8.)North Carolina State (#51)
9.)Syracuse* (#54)
10.)Georgia Tech (#55)
11.)Boston College (#57)
12.)Maryland (#58)
13.)Duke (#66)
14.)Wake Forest (#73)

I want a ball carrier in the mold of Brown/Davis/Little. Someone who can break the game open at any time.

Big LT out of Rochester
Alex Officer?

Other notable targets include
(DE, OH) Jake Butt
(OLB/RB, MD) Dorian O'Daniel
(DT, MD) Darius Commisiong
(TE, FL) Tyler Provo (nick's lil bro)
(DE, OH)Taco Charlton (my personal all name team favorite, teammates with Butt)

Here's a list of offers that have made for 2013 kids - per another site:

DT Greg Webb
DE Dajaun Drennon
OL John Montelus
ATH Wyatt Shallman
OL Steve Elmer
TE Tyler Provo
OL Patrick Kugler
LB Dorian O'Daniel
DT Darius Commissiong
DE Jake Butt
QB Shane Morris
LB Mike McCray
DE Kevin Robbins
QB Milan Collins
WR Corey Smith
OL Alexander Officer
WR Reggie Davis
OL Derwin Gray
RB Keyante Green
DE Tashawn Bower
DE Taco Charlton

It isn't premium. I'm not a subscriber and can pull all that from a simple recruiting search that's available to anyone.
oh. I figured it was since on the main page where it says offer list you can't see it unless you subscribe. Didn't realize you can search that

Go to the FB Recruiting pulldown, then click on the recruit search & database. Once you are there, select the year that you want, Syracuse interest and then check the box that says only prospects with offers. Viola.

So you want a Hall of Fame runningback lol... Pretty sure every coach wants one

Out of anyone, why Demarco Murray?
He looked real good running the ball lately. He had some monster games for the Cowboys. IIRC, he was really good at OU.

I'm not saying he would be my first pick. For some reason, he just popped up in my head. I just want a game breaker at that position.

I want one of Florida's RBs in terms of pure speed. This was one of my favorite runs i've seen in a while. Pure breakaway speed from Jeff Demps.

Nice! I loved the way he split the defenders at the 50 and broke free. Indeed, that is the kind of speed at the RB position we need.

I would be very happy to see Provo be that first early commit to kick off the rest of the class. As good as Parris and Thompson are, how sweet would it be to have Provo2.0 fall into our laps as well.

I wouldn't take him unless he can play DE. We have two great TE's coming in, and we got Addazio last year. Beaulieu and Wales will both be back next year too. No need to waste a recruiting slot on a position with a lot of depth, especially when there are positions that need more quality depth.

IMO our most pressing needs are at, and in this order...

DT, We really need Jarron Jones...
DE What happens when Chandler leaves?
HB, McFarlane looks good. I'd like to get Laray Smith in next year's class.
OL, A position you can always use more depth at.
WR, Plenty of possession receivers, no speed guys. West and Lemon would benefit greatly with another burner like Graham.
QB, A position you can always use more depth at.

Position we don't need to worry about...

TE, two great TE's in the class, two returning.
LB, many recruits this year are LB's with size. We have Lynch, Spruill, and Davis returning next year.
S, this is if we have Morgan locked up.
FB, you can always find a solid FB

No. We want provo 2.0. Move max back and redshirt provo when he arrives

I tend to think of speed as being overrated at RB and was going to look up some stats to prove that demps is more a track guy then an RB. Then I saw Demps has never averaged less than 6 ypc and, should his average of 7.1 ypc hold up this year, he'll be at 7 ypc or better in 3 of 4 college seasons. I suppose I have no leg to stand on.

Jeff Demps is literally one of the fastest guys in America. He's an Olympic qualifier. Syracuse would need to find one of the fastest kids in high school that isn't going on a full ride to a giant school for track. We can dream, but I highly doubt there will be many kids to play at demps' speed in the next 10 years.
