Reconnect the I to the R for the link to work.

The mental gymnastics going on in that thread is astounding. First off UVA is technically the last place team in the ACC not SU. Second SU has two top 5 wins and Rutty doesn't have a win over a team with a .500 record less one with a winning record. SU may have greatly underachieved their preseason hype but the 2 resumes aren't even close.

Mark Dixon was pushing for Rutgers to make it during the Hopkins game, too.

I personally enjoyed the whining over the potential of the Patriot league getting there teams in the post season while the B1G may get one. Fair analysis, until you look at the records, opponents, OOC play (oops, the B1G planners proved go be morons!), and every other measure used to pick the field.

Even when Quint gave his assessment of SU's D (they held JHU to 9 last season), while generally true, last year does not matter this year, when you refuse to play outside your conference, there is no method to compare, Quint used what was available. I agree that the seasons are different but bashing anyone other the than the B1G for this fiasco is a waste of time. The B1G deserves what the get. Remember, they invited Rutgers to their party and Rutgers is still mooching off them and fails to perform at every level.

P.S. the "choke" post was amusing, listing their four teams that choked. Noticably missing from the list was football. Which historically has choked since 1869.

Hey! They won that 1869 futbol championship fair and square!

One other point to add to the OP: Rutgers fans think being in a P5 privileges them to preferential treatment. This is especially weird considering the ACC is the only P5 with an history in lacrosse. Yes, I am aware that JHU and Maryland play in the B1G, but their histories are not related to the B1G.

The point that Rutgers perceives themselves as entitled by virtue of the P5 affiliation is made stronger by then fact that several mid-majors have a long history and great tradition, Ivy, Colonial come to mind without performing by any research.

We really need a Rutgers vs Syracuse game in the 1st round to air this out on the field of play.

That was our 1st LAX game cancelled last year. They were on the bus to NJ when the plug was pulled.

We also had a football game with the girls cancelled.
