I miss having a really good point guard. And The General was the best I've ever seen in a Syracuse uniform.

And I miss having a purposeful offense.

Tired of rock fight basketball, tired of iso ball.

I consider rock fight basketball some of the mid-2010s teams that would play first to 60 wins type of games. 2013 was probably the best example. I remember a lot of complaints about how the offense was bad and unimaginative at that time. In hindsight we’d kill for those quality teams now.

Agreed.

Point being, it's been a long time since we saw fun offense. Maybe since 2010 / 2012, those two dominant teams. Certainly not like what we were lucky to root for in the clip above, the Sherman Douglas led teams.

I want Syracuse hoops to be fun again.

Right now, we are perhaps the worst P4 team in college basketball, which is supported by our historically bad ratings in KenPom.

1987 UNC was favored by 6 over us in the Elite 8. Coleman went 2/10 and we still won.

We had so many great times for so many years. I am optimistic that we will get the good times rolling and if we don't no one can take away the wonderful memories. I still look froward to the ganes, even the Duke debacle the unthinkable losses, all of it because in my heart and in my head I am a glass half full man.

Fun is being good, even if defensive oriented. Going to the Final Four about once a decade is not exactly being "Cheat code" level good. But it was fun knowing that we COULD go to the Final Four almost every/any year.
