Shocked she was 96. the earliest thing I've seen here in was 'East Side West Side' in 1963. She would already have been around 40 then and in her late 40's at the time of 'Sounder', which was the first time I*'d heard of her, (I saw ESWS later.) I would have guessed she was 10-15 years younger than she actually was.

honestly other than knowing she was , I dont off the top of my head I could have named one movie she was in.

Fried green tomatoes was a long time ago
root/sounder 50 yrs ago can barely remember who was in it since the dont really show up in the re-run circuit.

She was a bit actor in a ton of 60-70s Tv shows though. I didnt realize she did so few movies for such a long career
