I wish somebody would make ‘Homicide:Life on the Street’ available again.
I know Belzer is huge in the L&O universe but I always think of Homicide first with him.

He was a rather strange add-on to SVU and they never knew what to do with him. He fit in much better with Homicide, which was less about their cases than it was about what it was like to spend the day in the Homicide unit. Why would that guy transfer to New York? (Although I would have loved to see him become Bricoe's partner.) But there was one great SVU episode with Munch trying to deal with his uncle, played by Jerry Lewis. That was a classic.
