Robert DeNiro in "The Comedian"

I have to preface this by saying that I believe that Robert DeNiro is the best actor of our lifetime. I love his recent stuff, The Intern and this movie, The Comedian, that came out in 2016. I watched it the other night for the first time. Part of it reminded me of his portrayal of Jake LaMotta in The Raging Bull but I get that not everyone (including the critics) would find this movie entertaining. But, like I said, I am a DeNiro fan and I thought he did a great job in this flick. Curious if anyone else has seen it and what you thought of it.

guy does great comedy and drama. just an american classic.
i really enjoyed THE SCORE which i only saw on dvd recently with brando and ed norton.
and every time i hear cape fear river cresting i think of him and mitchum . super creepy both.
