Scoop PG: Doing Very Well as Distributor

okay, know that I typically point out Scoop's and Dion's and sometimes Triche's flaws...but seriously, Scoop is being a very good distributor in BE games.

Of course one condition of distributing and getting assts depends on teammates making shots from your passes...so far Scoop is doing everything a PG is supposed to do...Pretty Damn Good from my perspective...and what do you think?

Scoop had 7 assists and just 2 turnovers last night. He missed all his shots but certainly didn't gun it taking just 5 of them. I am disappointed in his free throw percentage, point guards need to be good free throw shooters. He's said he'll make them when they count so is he telling us he isn't focused until then? That is telling to me though.

As you said he's distributing the ball well, he's just not a consistent impact scoring threat including unfortunately his free throws so he's fulfilling his main role just not much more. He is taking care of the ball though and limiting his turnovers. I wish Scoop had worked harder on his conditioning and body preseason. He's not the most gifted athlete so working extra hard to ensure he was the best conditioned and fit player should have been his goal as a senior leader. He's having a steady but certainly not spectacular season as the team's point guard.

may disagree here...Scoop is distributing the ball better than expected and his assist to TO ratio is far better than expectations...yes I do complain about his incessant pounding the ball and taking shots he should not and making dumb high risk passes...but his assists are high...and that is his role...
