Vandy loses to USC beats LSU and Vandy 3 loss SEC team and 4 loss team
ALA loses to LSU 3 loss SEC and 3 loss team

everyone else has 3 or more already

you are a couple odd losses from the entire league being 3 loss teams

Many three loss SEC teams will be selected to be in play-off. I think this week AP top 25 will begin to be filled with 3 loss SEC teams. Even 3 loss Michigan will be ahead of us in ranking.

Not only is there no chance “many” three loss SEC teams will make the playoffs, it’s unlikely any will. There will definitely be a bunch in the top 25 - but they won’t be in the top 12 and make the playoffs.

The problem with this is that it’s untenable long term. The SEC can float a year or two on perception, but questions will come if they don’t win good OOC games and then eat their own in conference year over year.

Their whole theory of the case rests on being far and away better than the rest of CFB. Slightly better won’t cut it.

if you look at the ESPN FPI they actually have us with a chance to make the playoffs at 10-2 with no chance to make the ACC title game.

That's why that opening game next year is important. If by some happenstance Fran can upset Tennessee, it ruins one of the top teams in the SEC.
Then all the talking heads will have to make excuses, which won't wash with the general public.
Then if Fran can win games against that schedule and keep any losses close, we will be in the discussion.
