I did not know Dickie V. did Saturday afternoon games.

Good thing a majority of us are going so we don't have to hear Vitale.

He doesn't do Saturday games, but Dick cant remember what day it is anymore.

I seriously doubt any of you actually mute the TV.

Muting games completely takes away from the experience, in my opinion. That's why I hate watching in bars. Who cares if it's Vitale.

Anyone try the coach-talk version of the Megacast of the BCS game last night? I tried it for a while and kind of liked the talk and insights the coaches could give. But late in the 4th, I had to switch back to the main broadcast to get the full crowd-noise & atmosphere of the game. You definitely lose something when you can't hear that part of the experience.

I tuned in for a good portion of the second half, thought it was really cool. I watched the last 5 minutes on the main station with Musberger and Kirk. After big plays I switched back to hear what the coaches said though (sometimes).

I always listen as well even if I can't stand who's doing the game. I mean how am I supposed to complain about them if I don't listen to them?

The only games I don't mute are Syracuse basketball and lacrosse. I might make an exception on Saturday.

Me too. Agree 100%

Saw this coming, we'll get him for both duke games too. Can't wait to be at the dome Saturday.

Will watch at a bar or will watch on mute. I have often thought that there should be an SAP option for sporting events that just gave us crowd and game noise but muted the announcers. It could be called the Vitale option...

Love Vitale. Great fun, dude embraces life and these games are fun.
Dan Shulman might be the very best in the business. Love listening to him.

How can anyone mute a game?? Jesus i would listen to gilbert gottfried broadcast a college hoops game

I mute the game on TV and listen to the radio broadcast with Matt Park and Jim, Satalin. But only when it's Vitale on the TV.

Vitale on Syracuse before last night's game

This statement must have been hard for him to write:

"Syracuse is poised to take over No. 1 if Arizona slips. The Orange couldn't have come together at a better time in the ACC. When you look at the conference, North Carolina has been up and down. While Duke is certainly tough, the Orange are probably the class of the conference right now."

I always watch on mute unless Bilas is doing the game. I don't get any enjoyment from listening. Not exactly sure why.

Right? It seems a little bit psychotic to watch a game with the television on mute.

He's hoping he can put in a good word for JB, to get him inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Hopefully he could put a few words in about Jim deserving to get the court named after him.

I've been considering talking to my doctor about a similar(not the same) problem recently. Like you, I'm not sure exactly why either.
