Teams we have played at least two dozen times (at least 50% of those 47 seasons)...

Pitt 46x (20-25-1)
BC 39x (23-16)
West Virginia 35x (20-15)
Rutgers 34x (22-12)
Temple 25x (19-6)

No team is even close to joining that 50% list in the near future. Temple will fall off the list in 2028 if we do not play them.

Even the list for a dozen games (over 25%) is small...

Louisville 20x (8-12)
VA Tech 19x (10-9)
Penn State 16x (2-14)
FSU 15x (1-14)
Miami 15x (3-12)
NC State 14x (4-10)
Wake 13x (7-6)
Cincinnati 13x (5-8)
Maryland 13x (6-6-1)
UConn 12x (6-6)
Clemson 12x (2-10)
Navy 12x (9-3)

Makes sense though…

14 years of independence
13 years in Big East I
9 years in Big East II
11 years in ACC

Not a lot of schedule consistency. Pitt and BC is basically it.

We have been in the same conference as both Miami and VA Tech (25 years), yet we have played Louisville and FSU one less time. I hate that.

Pitt got lucky getting into the Coastal. We could have played VA Tech another 7+ times and Miami another 8+ times (depending on 2020), while playing Louisville 6 less and FSU 8 less. That would have put VA Tech at 26 games and Miami at 23, with both adding another this year. Louisville would have dropped to 14 and FSU to 7, where they both belong. But that also would have meant not playing Pitt every year (or BC).

how does that vary from what Pitt and BC schedules are?

BC was in the ACC 8 more years. They also never played in the new Big East. Pitt was in the Coastal. So their ACC opponents will be quite different. The rest is probably close to the same.
